The Vet-Dop2 – Veterinary Doppler Blood Pressure System is designed to provide a straightforward method of measuring veterinary systolic blood pressure using Doppler blood-flow detection.
During measurement, the focused Doppler transducer is positioned distal to the blood pressure cuff to detect arterial blood flow. As cuff pressure is released, the return of the audible Doppler signal allows the clinician to identify the systolic pressure on the included sphygmomanometer.
The system uses a sensitive 9.4 MHz focused transducer and advanced low-noise electronics to produce clear blood-flow audio through the built-in speaker.
For patients that may be startled by audible Doppler sounds, included stereo headphones automatically bypass the speaker, allowing quieter blood pressure measurement.
The focused transducer can be held in position while stabilizing the patient's limb or secured using the provided attachment straps for longer monitoring periods.
Vet-Dop2 is particularly useful for small veterinary patients and cats, while also supporting larger animals. The system can additionally detect peripheral blood flow during surgery and assist in evaluating vessel integrity following trauma or before amputation.
A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides more than 35 hours of use between charges, supporting portable operation throughout the clinic.
The included cuff set covers limb circumferences from 3.3 to 16.8 cm, accommodating patients ranging from small kittens to large dogs.
