The Coaxial Patient Circuit is designed for use with compatible veterinary rebreathing anesthesia systems.
The circuit uses a coaxial tube-within-a-tube configuration. Inspired anesthetic gas travels toward the patient through the inner tube, while exhaled gas returns through the surrounding outer tube.
This arrangement allows the warmer exhaled gas to transfer some heat to the incoming inspired gas, helping reduce patient heat loss and improve humidification of inspired gases during anesthesia.
Compared with a conventional two-limb Y circuit, the coaxial configuration consolidates the inspiratory and expiratory pathways into a single streamlined circuit assembly, helping reduce tubing clutter around the patient and anesthesia workstation.
The circuit is supplied in a 60 in / 152 cm length for veterinary anesthesia applications.
